Centennial Tapestry

In 1993, during the planning of the Centennial celebrations for MCW, one of the major projects was the creation of a Centennial Tapestry- a tapestry made up of the logos of the then sixty-nine MCW Federates.

In recognizing the tapestry's historical value and to mark Concordia University's commitment to the advancement of women it was decided to approach the university to have them display the tapestry. On March 8th 2012, International Women's Day, a specially-held ceremony was organized at which the Centennial Tapestry was presented to the President and Vice-Chancellor of Concordia University, Frederick Lowy.  We are most grateful to Concordia University for accepting on loan this cherished tapestry that truly represents cultural diversity and displays historical logos of the many organizations who contributed to the development of services and programs to the citizens of Montreal during a hundred-year period.
